Skills Assessment Workshops (available in French only)

Overview

The Skills Assessment Workshops, or OAC (Outil d’Analyse de compétences) is a modular approach developed by the employment services team at CDEC. Its aim is to enable job searchers to validate their job choice, research the characteristics of targetted jobs, identify their acquired and generic skills, determine obstacles to employment, and to plan the necessary steps toward the attainment of their objective.

The workshop is presented in a group format running over 5 days, with an additional day-long debriefing session the following week.

Eligibility

     resident of CDN/NDG
     have identified 2 job objectives
     be actively searching for work
     speak, write, and understand French (level 6)

Workshops are animated by Diane Beaulé (agente d’accueil et de référence) and Nabila Ghernati (agente aux initiatives locales). Both staff members are available to answer individual questions as well as to present the OAC concept to selected clientèle.
