At
the heart of the actions of a CDEC lies collaboration of
the principal socioeconomic players in order to foster local
development. The board of directors of a CDEC is composed
of representatives elected through a system of electoral
colleges representing the various aspects of the community.
A CDEC then has a mission to develop the partnerships between
the forces that these colleges represent and to assume a
leadership role in local development.
The
current Board of Directors was formed April 1 2003 and comprises
19 members from the following electoral colleges :
