The mission of the CDEC CDN/NDG is to foster economic and social development within its territory by empowering local actors with tools and resources adapted to the local reality. The preferred approach is dialogue and collaboration. This approach is consistent with principles of sustainable development and aims to complement existing resources, taking into account the regional context.

In order to fulfill its mission the CDEC acts and innovates principally :

	In the development of the employment potential and the reintegration of persons marginalized with respect to the labour market;
	In the development of solid links to existing or new businesses, in order to foster job stability or job creation; and
	In the development of local initiatives encouraging training, job creation, and the improvement of the socio-economic potential of the borough.
